Description

Deliciously moist blondies enriched with fresh apples and topped with a warm maple glaze, perfect for gatherings or quiet afternoons.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 cup brown sugar, packed
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 1/2 cups peeled and diced Granny Smith apples
  • 1/4 cup maple syrup
  • 1 cup powdered sugar (for glaze)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and line a 9×13 inch baking pan with parchment paper for easy removal.
  2. Combine the melted butter with both sugars and whisk until smooth. Add eggs one at a time, ensuring each is fully integrated before adding the next. Incorporate vanilla extract.
  3. Mix the flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt in another bowl. Gradually add this dry mixture to the wet ingredients, stirring gently until just combined.
  4. Fold in the diced apples, ensuring they are evenly distributed throughout the batter.
  5. Pour the mixture into the prepared baking pan, smoothing the top. Bake for approximately 25-30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
  6. Allow to cool completely before preparing the glaze. Mix maple syrup and powdered sugar until smooth and drizzle over the blondies.

Notes

These blondies can be enjoyed warm or at room temperature, best served with ice cream or whipped cream. Store leftovers in an airtight container.
