- 1/2 teaspoon ground allspice
- 1 cup apple cider
- 1 cup brown sugar
- 2 eggs
- 1/2 cup canola oil
- 2 cups tart apples, diced (Granny Smith or Honeycrisp)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and prepare a loaf pan by greasing it or lining it with parchment paper.
- Mix together your dry ingredients: flour, baking powder, baking soda, and spices in a large bowl.
- Whisk together the apple cider, brown sugar, eggs, and oil in another bowl until combined.
- Pour the wet mixture into the dry ingredients, and stir gently until just combined.
- Fold in diced apples, ensuring they’re evenly distributed through your batter.
- Pour the batter into your prepared pan and spread it out evenly.
- Bake in the preheated oven for about 50 minutes, or until a toothpick comes out clean.
- Let it cool in the pan for 10 minutes before transferring it to a wire rack to cool completely.
Notes
Serve toasted with butter or cream cheese frosting. Keeps well at room temperature for 2 days or frozen for longer storage.
