Description
A savory marinade elevates flank steak with rich flavors of balsamic vinegar, creating a delicious dish perfect for any occasion.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1.5 lbs flank steak
- 1/2 cup balsamic vinegar
- 1/4 cup olive oil
- 2 tablespoons honey
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Fresh herbs (like rosemary or thyme) for garnish
Instructions
- Marinate the steak: In a bowl, whisk together balsamic vinegar, olive oil, honey, minced garlic, salt, and pepper. Place the flank steak in a resealable bag and pour the marinade over it. Seal it up and let it marinate in the fridge for at least 30 minutes.
- Preheat your cooking surface: Get your grill or skillet nice and hot. If using a grill, preheat to medium-high heat.
- Cook time: Remove the steak from the marinade (discard the marinade) and cook for about 4-6 minutes on each side for medium-rare.
- Rest the steak: Once cooked to your liking, take the steak off the heat and let it rest for about 5-10 minutes.
- Slice and serve: Cut the steak against the grain into thin slices. Drizzle with any remaining balsamic reduction or a sprinkle of fresh herbs if desired.
Notes
Pair with arugula salad or grilled veggies. Store leftovers for up to 3 days in an airtight container.
