- 1 pound chicken breast, sliced into thin strips
- 2 cups fresh green beans, trimmed
- 3 tablespoons soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon ginger, minced
- 1 tablespoon garlic, minced
- 1 tablespoon sesame oil
- Vegetable oil, for cooking
- 1 tablespoon cornstarch mixed with water
- Optional toppings: sesame seeds and sliced green onions
Instructions
- Marinate the chicken: In a bowl, mix the chicken strips with soy sauce, ginger, and garlic. Let it sit for at least 10 minutes.
- Prep your green beans: While the chicken is marinating, wash and trim the green beans.
- Heat the pan: In a large skillet or wok, heat vegetable oil over medium-high heat until hot.
- Cook the chicken: Add the marinated chicken in a single layer and let it sear for about 5 minutes without stirring.
- Add the green beans: Once the chicken is golden, toss in the green beans. Stir-fry for an additional 5-7 minutes.
- Thicken the sauce: Stir in the cornstarch mixture and sesame oil. Cook for another minute.
- Serve hot: Dish onto plates and garnish with sesame seeds and green onions if desired.
