Crispy, savory bites of stuffing infused with cranberries, perfect for any gathering.
Ingredients
Scale
- 4 cups stale bread, cubed
- 1 cup fresh cranberries, chopped
- 1 medium shallot, finely diced
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- ½ cup parsley, chopped
- 1 cup chicken or vegetable broth
- 1 tsp dried sage
- 1 tsp dried thyme
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Olive oil, for drizzling
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Add a drizzle of olive oil to a skillet over medium heat and sauté the shallots and garlic until soft and fragrant, about 3-4 minutes.
- Combine the stale bread, cranberries, sautéed shallots, parsley, sage, thyme, and season generously with salt and pepper in a large bowl.
- Pour in the broth gradually while tossing the mixture gently until coated; aim for slightly wet, not soggy.
- Form the mixture into balls, about the size of a golf ball, and place them on the prepared baking sheet.
- Drizzle with olive oil and bake for 20-25 minutes or until crispy and golden brown.
Notes
For added flavor, toast your bread beforehand and consider using fresh herbs. These stuffing balls can also be frozen both cooked and uncooked.
