- 4 medium Yukon Gold potatoes, sliced

- 1 cup beef broth
- 1 cup sharp cheddar or mozzarella cheese, grated

- Pepper, to taste
- 1 tsp thyme or rosemary, dried
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Heat olive oil over medium heat in a large skillet. Add chopped onions and garlic, cooking until fragrant and translucent.
- Add the ground beef to the skillet, breaking it up and browning it evenly.
- Season with salt, pepper, and your chosen herbs.
- Layer sliced potatoes over the meat mixture, followed by adding beef broth to keep everything moist.
- Cover the dish and bake for about 30 minutes, then uncover, sprinkle with cheese, and bake until the cheese is golden and bubbly.
- Let it rest for a few minutes before serving.
