Description
A comforting and moist banana bread made with ripe bananas, perfect for breakfast, snacks, or dessert.
Ingredients
Scale
- 3 ripe bananas, mashed
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 2 large eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1 ½ cups all-purpose flour
- Optional: 1/2 cup chopped walnuts or chocolate chips
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease or line a 9×5 inch loaf pan.
- Mash the bananas until smooth. Stir in the melted butter until well combined.
- Add the sugar, eggs, and vanilla extract. Mix until everything is blended together nicely.
- Sprinkle baking soda and salt over the mixture, then gently fold in the flour. Be careful not to overmix; a few lumps are totally okay!
- If using, fold in the nuts or chocolate chips.
- Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan and smooth the top. Bake for 60–65 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
- Let it cool in the pan for about 10 minutes before transferring it to a wire rack to cool completely.
- Slice and enjoy, maybe with a pat of butter on top.
Notes
For added flavor, use brown sugar instead of granulated sugar and consider adding cinnamon or nutmeg.
