Description

A comforting casserole of crisp green beans, savory beef bacon, and a rich Parmesan sauce, perfect for gatherings or family dinners.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 pound fresh green beans, trimmed
  • 6 to 8 ounces beef bacon, diced
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil (optional, for sautéing)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add the green beans and blanch for 4 to 5 minutes until tender-crisp. Drain and set aside.
  3. In a skillet over medium heat, add the diced beef bacon. Cook until crisp, about 5-7 minutes. Drain excess fat but leave a little for flavor.
  4. In a large bowl, mix the heavy cream, Parmesan cheese, garlic powder, salt, and pepper until well combined.
  5. Combine the blanched green beans and cooked beef bacon in the bowl. Pour the cream mixture over the top and stir to coat evenly.
  6. Transfer the mixture into a greased baking dish, spreading it out evenly.
  7. Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes, until bubbly and golden on top.

Notes

For best results, do not overcook the green beans during blanching. Use freshly grated Parmesan for enhanced flavor.
