A vibrant and flavorful dish that balances sweet, spicy, and tangy notes with honey and lime-marinated chicken thighs.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1.5 lbs chicken thighs (skinless)
- 1/4 cup honey
- 1/4 cup lime juice (fresh)
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1–2 jalapeños, sliced
- 1 tsp cumin
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Fresh cilantro for garnish (optional)
Instructions
- Combine honey, lime juice, garlic, jalapeños, cumin, salt, and pepper in a mixing bowl. Whisk until blended.
- Add chicken thighs to the marinade, ensuring they’re well-coated. Cover and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes or overnight.
- Heat a grill or skillet over medium-high heat and lightly oil the surface.
- Remove the chicken from the marinade and cook for about 6-7 minutes on each side until it reaches an internal temperature of 165°F.
- Let the chicken rest for a few minutes before slicing.
Notes
Use fresh lime juice for the marinade to notice a significant flavor difference. Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to 3 days.
